Announcements Conferences Are Coming Soon!Morton Conferences will be here before you know it! You and/or your child are always welcome to come visit about how PE is going for them! I always welcome feedback and ideas about how to keep our students active. Can't wait to see you in February!
Mr. Etzelmiller Back to WORK!Welcome back to Morton, hope you had a great Winter Break! We are getting back to it right away in the gym here at Morton! Starting each day with fitness stations, most important time of the day, then on to a heart racing activity. With the new year here, I encourage you to talk to your children about ways to incorporate New Years Resolutions and ways to improve their health!
Fitness AssessmentsThe 3rd-5th grades will be starting their fitness assessments on October 10th and we plan to finish October 28th! These include Push Up, Sit Up, Sit & Reach, Trunk Lift, and Mile Run. Please encourage your child to practice these at home so that his/her test score may and WILL improve!
Gym ShoesFor safety reasons, all students must wear gym shoes to physical education class. If students do not wear their gym shoes they will have to miss that activity for the day. It maybe a good idea to keep an extra pair of gym shoes in your students backpack so that they always have them when needed. Your child’s safety is my first concern and without the use of proper equipment injury could occur. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
